“You are not allowed to put any holes in you walls.” Said by the principal as I’m envisioning the perfect learning environment in my head. To be fair my dream classroom also had a snack machine and a coffee dispenser. My principal quickly nixed these as well. For all of us who dream of turning our classrooms into farms, oceans, barns, fairy tale lands, math emporiums, etc… but must leave the walls as smooth as baby butts, here are some tried and true methods to hang decor without holes.
Double Sided Tape

Hot Glue

Painters Tape

Marvalus Tape

Skikki Clips

Command Strips

Whats the takeaway here?
The best way to stick posters, pictures, art, etc to your walls is to stick good painters tape the the wall then hot glue the item to the tape strip. This method has come from numerous veteran teachers who stick it (see what I did there) to the man every year and decorate their classroom. Don’t let the “no holes in the wall” policy stop you from decorating your room to be your little slice of paradise. Happy teaching 🙂
